What you actually get
- 3,696 pieces, rated 18+, at an original US price of $449.99 - about 12.2 cents per piece, in line with the other 1:8 Technic supercars.
- A finished car over 23 in. (60 cm) long, 9 in. (25 cm) wide and 5 in. (13 cm) high, in lime green with golden rims and the Sián’s Y-shaped lights.
- Working mechanics: a V12 with moving pistons, an 8-speed sequential gearbox worked from paddle shifters, steering, front and rear suspension, a movable rear spoiler, scissor doors and opening front and rear hoods.
- Collector’s packaging: a lime-green box, a decorative display plate, a coffee-table instruction book with interviews from LEGO and Lamborghini, and a unique serial number under the hood that unlocks online content.
- Retired since 31 December 2025 per Brickset. The Amazon listing we link to showed the set at $527.99 at the time of writing, above the original price.
How does it compare with the other 1:8 Technic supercars?
This is the second car in the line after the Bugatti Chiron, and its mechanics are the same generation: the gearbox is the part builders talk about, and it’s the part that takes the longest. Our Ferrari Daytona SP3 42143 review covers the newer flagship with a similar piece count and a calmer colour; if you want the same experience on a smaller desk, the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut 42173 is the 1:12 answer. The Sián is the one you buy for the colour: it’s a green car with gold wheels, and it either belongs in your room or it doesn’t.
Is the LEGO Lamborghini Sián 42115 worth it?
At list price it was: 3,696 pieces, a full working gearbox and the best box in the range. Now that it’s retired, the question is what listings ask. Above the original $449.99, the Daytona SP3 gives you the same scale and the same kind of build for less, while it’s still on shelves. The Sián is worth a premium only if the Lamborghini itself is the point.
Who it suits
Adults who like mechanisms as much as looks, and who have room for a 60 cm model. Lamborghini fans, obviously. It’s not a first Technic set: the gearbox is unforgiving of a misplaced gear, and going back to find one is the part of this build that people remember. Children and casual builders will enjoy the Koenigsegg more.
Worth knowing first
Two practical notes. First, on a used copy ask about the box and the book: on this set they’re part of the value, and a bare bag of parts sells for less. Second, test the gearbox as you go. If the paddles don’t shift cleanly at the checkpoint the instructions give you, fix it then, because fixing it after the bodywork is on means taking the bodywork off.
Verdict
The loudest Technic supercar: 3,696 pieces, a working 8-speed gearbox and a V12, in lime green and gold, retired since the end of 2025. Buy near the original price; above it, compare with the Daytona first. For where it sits among everything we’ve rated, see the best LEGO sets for adults.
