Three builds in one box

The sections are genuinely different projects. The tower is classic architecture building, the Council ring is a diorama around one iconic scene, and the river section is landscape work - water, bridge, autumn leaves. Splitting it across weekends feels natural, and each finished section already looks complete on its own, which keeps a very long build feeling rewarding instead of endless.

I've said it before, this set looks like a MOC in the best way possible. Stunning!

I'll 100% pick up this set not only just over the fact this set is a Top Tier Lego Set, but also to show support for the Lord of the Rings Theme to come back. I got every set of the 2012-14 Lord of the Rings/ Hobbit wave, and I want this theme to come back.

It was so funny when he builds up the anticipation and begins to lift the council section then says “the eye of Saruman!” 💀💀

Verdict

The most complete world LEGO has built for adults, and the rare huge set where the last hour is as good as the first. If mega-builds are your thing, its natural sibling on this site is the Millennium Falcon 75192 - and if you want fantasy on the shelf without the flagship commitment, the Hogwarts Express 75955 scratches a similar itch in an evening or two.
